in looking back over the resort collections just gone, there is something sensational happening in suiting for women aside from the major sports luxe vibe, also very apparent in the menswear collections. many designers went all out in head to toe print in super sharp suit shapes (say that fast 4 x times) in a myriad of prints and textures including florals, spots, ikat, lace, stripes, hawaiian, checks, damask, graffiti-esgue and art as fashion. i have always wanted a suitable suit and now it seems that my fashion prayers have been answered – brave for the boardroom, brilliant for lunch, bad ass on the dance floor – wear it how you want. suit up!
super suits as shown above from derek lam, giles, antonio berardi, antonio marras, fendi, willow, akris, balmain, celine, emilio pucci, jonathan saunders, lanvin, marc by marc jacobs, marc jacobs, marni, michael angel, moschino, peter jensen, stella mccartney, zac posen.

before i finish off this posting i must make you aware of andrea crews, a paris based designer who has been giving it grand in the head to toe shell-suiting department for some time now. andrea is worthy of a full posting to herself – but thought i should share some suiting freshness from an independent designer who has been doing it, doing it and doing it well for a while – all images below from her SS 10 jogging collection.
