I had to quickie post these Jonathan Josefsson abstract rugs before I distracted myself too much with the idea of lolling about all over them. The Swedish artist has produced a series of rugs that act as abstract sculptural works, incorporating organic shapes and vibrant colours to maximum effect. The fluid forms are reminiscent of cells found in biology and would look picture perfect, smack bang in front of the fire, or anywhere else in the home for that matter. Otherwise they’re definitely art enough to hang on the walls and are pretty much the greatest rugs I have ever laid my eyes upon. Forget the shag-pile or kilim guys, these jewels for the floor are where it’s at.
