This art of adornment beams life into precious pieces for your tabletops and merges two of our greatest passions - artisan made accoutrement and coming together around the table with friends and family. Our collection of jewellery is precious and personal and intuit’s each artist’s story of craft, culture and courage. Jewels from the sea, symbolic Maasai hand-beading and regenerative textiles spun with gold thread are utterly original, meaningful and beautiful to wear.

Made-to-order and what that means exactly — We consider made-to-order an innovative and sustainable option for purchase. By introducing the practice of made-to-order to A4D we are working to avoid overproduction and over-ordering which helps to minimise industry waste. Made-to-order ensures only what is needed is produced and gives our artisan partners and collaborators the time to create each unique piece by hand in true slow design time. Bettina McILwraith founded Appetite for Decoration in 2008 in London, traversing across the worlds of trend forecasting and styling, retail and pop-up shops and brand consultancy while managing a burgeoning print & textile archive and let’s face it... a textile addiction. With a 20-year career working globally with ethical and artisan brands and slow-design start-ups. Bettina has joyfully landed at the A4D Mothership showroom and studio on Gubbi Gubbi country.
