Ewe Kente cloth - Southern Volta - Chief’s cloth
A recently woven Ewe Kente Cloth (pronounced "Ev-ay"). Finely woven on a narrow-strip loom, sewn selvedge to selvedge, this is a modern Chief’s cloth from the Keta area. With a deep and interesting history, the Kente Cloth, is one of the most well-known of African textiles. In fantastic combination of colours, this extra large cloth is ideally sized as a wonderful woven bed throw.
HANDWOVEN IN GHANA: in the southern Volta region. This is a recently woven cloth created for a chief in the Keta area. W 193cm x L 350cm. 100% cotton.
